Here is my project that I have been working on recently that came from the want to have a really nice ghetto blaster that I could bring anywhere.  I recently got into hi-fi audio (since birth music has been my oxygen) and with having a background in most trades, being a designer, mechanical engineer, musician and computer nerd I am going to attempt to utilize these skills and make my idea into a work I am proud of. 

I plan to utilize different materials such as carbon fiber, photovolatic cells, some polymers and wood. My goal is to have a engineered ghetto blaster that is powered by the sun via solar panels capable of charging my phone or ipod while blasting sweet tunage such as O.V. Wright or hell even N.W.A.

My goal is to shed light and hopefully give people a glimpse of what is possible with cheap tools to take ideas and make them into a reality you can touch and use. I will be documenting all of my steps in detail so you can follow along and hopefully get inspired to go at it yourself.  I use very expensive software for my work in engineering but with this project plan to solely use SketchUp Pro. The reason I am using this is because it is easily attainable(aka free) and I can more easily help anyone that has questions with designing their own project.
